The game has multiplayer options for up to four players on split-screen and eight players online. Like Sumo's previous Sega game, Sega Superstars Tennis, each character has a "Star Move" unique to them, such as Sonic transforming into Super Sonic, or Shadow turning into Super Shadow, that they can use against their opponents. The game plays out like a kart racing game, with characters collecting power-ups to boost their speed or hamper their opponents. A sequel, Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed, was released in 2012.
It is currently the third installment in the Sega Superstars series, and was developed by Sumo Digital. On 4 April 2013, the game was released by Feral Interactive on the Mac as a Mac App Store exclusive. For the Mac, All-Stars Racing will feature online multiplayer by using Game Center which the Windows version lacked, which will be added in the next version of Mac OS X, Mountain Lion. In 2012, Sega and Feral Interactive announced that the game will be available for the Mac on its following Summer along with Sega Superstars Tennis.

Honestly, it's the Daytona cab itself, and its poor design that is the reason I have always refrained from buying one. My wheel and pedals are also superior to the ones found on the Daytona cab. I also have them mounted in a much more realistic position.off to the right side by your thigh, unlike right next to the screen on the daytona cab. I own a couple of gear shifters that makes the ones on the Daytona Cab look like a toy(In addition I *also* own the actual Daytona USA Shifter by the way). I have a racing frame at home.nothing to spectacular, but much much better than those arcade cabs because A)I have a real racing seat mounted to it and B)You sit in a position that is a true racing style seating postion, where your legs are more straightened out like how it is to sit in an F1 car.įurthermore, my racing hardware is simply superior to the arcade cabs. I've always said those Sega arcade driving cabs are overrated IMHO. The design of cab itself was probably why playing Daytona felt so dated.
